Artist Statement

Venice-based artist Amanda Tutschek creates large scale abstract expressionism paintings using a variety of mediums including acrylic and oil and pastel on canvas or paper. Her work draws inspiration from elements of her world - water, trees, poetry, music, laughter, tears. Tutschek’s pieces never intend to create a recognizable image, but to convey emotions. Throughout her childhood in Canada, Tutschek found a creative outlet painting with her mother, which gave her an early foundation for her art. Tutschek spent her formative years as a model, traveling the world, developing her mastery of color, and honing her artistic perspective. Her modeling career exposed her to art and architecture which propelled her into leaving the fashion world to focus on her true passions. When not creating her own striking canvases, Tutschek can be found hosting private painting sessions under the name The Painted Peach in her breezy Venice studio, offering a space for her students to reconnect with their inner creativity.

Tutschek holds a degree in Interior Design from UCLA.

The Painted Peach is an Art and Design studio located in Venice Beach, CA offering private painting sessions. Led by abstract artist Amanda Renata Tutschek, the classes combine creative individuals with good wine, good music, and painting under the sun or stars. Founded in 2019, Tutschek and her team have hosted Paint and Sip classes for several leading companies including Google, Facebook, Hulu, Amazon, Nike, Snapchat and several other team building groups. The class is also perfect for birthdays, bachelorette parties, or just a night out with friends.
